I’m Aina Hilltout - Berit’s mother, manager, and strategic partner.

For over a decade, I’ve been the engine behind everything you see. The music. The brand. The videos. The strategy. We built this legacy with no team, no funding, and no shortcuts - just relentless commitment to excellence, innovation and vision.

Berit, known artistically as The Commander In Chief, is one of the most complete artistic polymaths of our time. Her music has charted in 26 countries, with a #1 album on Amazon, USA, as an independent artist.

She’s been praised by BBC hosts, legendary producers, and world-class performers. She’s the first guitarist to record violin virtuoso works that most players wouldn’t dare attempt. And she’s done it while composing across genres, singing in multiple languages, designing her own uniforms, creating artwork, and illustrating and authoring her own books.

But here’s what most people don’t know:
Everything you see was built by the two of us -  mother and daughter - alone. No contacts,  no label, no agency. Just two women building a legacy from nothing.

And now we’re ready for the next chapter.

This isn’t a fluke. It’s the result of strategic precision and singular talent.

Berit - The Commander In Chief - has been featured multiple times by the BBC, including guest appearances with iconic hosts like Tom Service and Mike Read - as well as features in all the leading guitar- and music magazines in the world, and appearances on major TV shows. Her boundary-breaking artistry has earned praise across continents, spanning both electric guitar, award nominated songwriting and classical voice.

She recorded a full classical crossover album with Craig Ogden - named by Classic FM as one of the 20 greatest classical guitarists of all time. Their Paganini Caprice 24 guitar duel went viral. The album hit #1 on Amazon USA, and Ogden described Berit as having a prodigy’s memory -  unlike anything he had encountered before.

She became known to the world for her guitar playing - but her most singular gift may be her hauntingly beautiful voice.
Award-winning PR legend Judy Totton, who worked with everyone from David Bowie to Status Quo and Abba, was in talks to represent her before she passed away in 2021. Judy told us directly:

“This is the most exciting voice since Kate Bush.”
She couldn’t understand why the industry was only interested in the guitar playing.
Judy saw what many insiders missed: a once-in-a-generation vocal presence - vulnerable, cinematic, and unforgettable.

For her vocal skills Berit also served as vocal coach and expert judge for two seasons on a major TV show, guiding platinum-selling superstars.

But this is more than talent. It’s an ecosystem - designed and executed by just two people.

Aina Hilltout, Berit’s mother and manager, is the strategist and architect behind the brand - the vocal coach, producer, branding director, and infrastructure builder. She has been interviewed by the BBC as an expert on Italian opera and vocal mastery, and she is one of the rare few who can trace her vocal lineage directly to Maria Callas and Elvira de Hidalgo - via her signing teacher, Aida Meneghelli.
